Coily, wavy, or straight: what’s different beneath the skin?
Hair texture can be associated with differences in the curve of the follicle beneath the skin. These three simplified illustrations show how they can differ.

The follicle can have a pronounced curve, which needs to be considered during extraction.
Wavy
The curve varies: the way hair looks above the skin does not reveal the full shape of the follicle.

Is a transplant suitable for all men?
No. A medical evaluation must identify the cause of hair loss, the condition of the donor area and the treatment options before considering a procedure.
The transplant stops hair loss?
It redistributes follicles but does not necessarily halt loss of non-transplanted hairs. This evolution must be considered in the plan.
