The consultation identifies the cause of hair loss and guides you towards suitable options. Transplant may be proposed when the situation and donor area allow it.
No: the protocol here provides for partial shaving at the back of the head, in the donor area. Surrounding hair is preserved. Its length can allow covering the shaved portion, as shown in the video.
Trimming the hair in this area makes it easier to see where each hair emerges and to access the follicles during extraction. How much needs to be trimmed depends on your treatment plan and is explained before the procedure.

The front design is prepared with the patient. The harvesting area is located at the back of the head.

Hair is lifted to show the shortened strip. This is not a strip of skin removed: only hair is shaved at this stage.
The video shows how surrounding hair covers the area. The appearance depends on your length and density.
These images show the preparation steps. We take the time to explain the planned shaving and how it will look with your hairstyle before starting.
Depending on your needs, treatment may address the hairline or other areas. The design takes your facial features, existing hairline, and available donor hair into account.
